The durability of larch equals that of many of the hardwood floors due to its dense grain, despite its classification as a soft wood species.

The flooring plant is located in a 13,000sft building on the banks of the world-renowned Margaree River in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Our wood is carefully selected and dried in a computerized kiln to 8% moisture content. The dried wood is then milled and end matched into 3", 5" and 7" wide flooring. Until it is shipped, the flooring is stored in a climate controlled warehouse.

The flooring is sold unfinished. Installation and sanding is not difficult due to our superior milling. Larch can be finished with a clear coat or easily stained.

Larch Wood's flooring has been installed in homes, restaurants, lodges and museums in Canada and the United States.

In Europe today, larch is highly valued. It is used widely for flooring, stairs, furniture, windows and doors.
